Zori (ZORI DAZAN PAPER COMPANY) is a professional kraft paper manufacturers for laminate, guided by the principle of “wood pulp as the base, technological innovation as the core.” Our main product lines include HPL kraft paper for high-pressure laminates, specialty kraft paper for functional applications, and industrial kraft paper for protective and industrial uses. Grammage ranges from 80 to 400 g/m², easily matching different thickness and strength requirements.
Our 280,000 m² production base in Yantai, Shandong, with over 500 employees, invests in advanced European equipment, including Voith fully automatic paper machines and Metso pulping systems. We hold FSC, ISO9001, and ISO14000 certifications, and conduct 32 inspection steps to ensure key properties like water absorption and tensile strength meet international standards.

Company History & Development Since 1985
In 1985, ZORI was founded at the early stage of China’s paper industry. From day one, the founder set the rule: “For kraft paper manufacturers for laminate, we must use 100% virgin pulp – no compromise, no shortcuts.” While many peers reduced costs with mixed pulp, ZORI insisted on virgin pulp, even though it was 30% more expensive. At that time, this decision brought high costs, higher pricing, and financial pressure.
The turning point came in 1998. A Finnish HPL board producer, frustrated by air bubble defects caused by uneven water absorption, reached out to ZORI. With its first German pulping line newly installed, the engineering team worked for three months to optimize fiber ratios (80% softwood, 20% hardwood) and refine beating to 32°SR. The result was kraft paper with stable water absorption (42–45 mm/30 min) and precise thickness tolerance (±1.5 μm). Testing proved the bubble rate dropped from 5% to just 0.2%. The Finnish client signed a three-year contract on the spot and introduced ZORI to other European partners.
